Step 1: Prepare the nail surface by buffing the nails, shaping with nail forms or applying nail tips, then using a file to shape the nails if needed. Next, apply a base gel evenly over the nail surface.

Step 2: Place the hand under a UV/LED lamp for an appropriate time of about 30-60 seconds (depending on the type of lamp you are using) to cure the base gel layer.
